Never Turn a Blind Eye

  • Video

“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” Robert Swan

When we realize that you and I are that someone else, we refuse to turn a blind eye on situations and events that bug us. You see, they bug us for a reason. And that reason is because the caring part inside our hearts has been touched.

When that caring place has been touched within us, instead of just griping about situations, we turn to action. We become the change that we wish to see in the world. And through the actions that we exemplify, we give others permission to act from the love within their own hearts.

Others will always follow your footsteps more than they will follow your advice, so in this episode of Unplug TV, I show a simple act of kindness for Mother Earth and create the footsteps necessary to help her heal.

This quick and easy act proves how easy it is to show that:
a) We notice planet Earth needs help,
b) We care for her welfare,
c) We are that someone else who will not turn a blind eye.

Simple acts of daily kindness shift the current self-centered mind dominated paradigm to one which is selflessly heart-centered.

Here we go – now it’s your turn!

When have you not turned a blind eye and made a difference in the life of another being,  including Mother Earth of course.

And hey, if you’re liking this video and its message of compassion, feel free to spread the message far and wide. Together we can co-create a revolution of caring compassion. Share away!

  1. Yah, loved today’s episode. You are a super fast garbage cleaner and a mother earth superstar! I decided not to turn a blind eye this summer when I saw two dogs trapped in a car with all the windows up on the hottest day of the year. I made a big scene in the store the car was parked near, asking for the manager to make an announcement in the store. The driver of the car was mad at me and told me to mind my own business. As far as I am concerened when you create needless suffering it becomes my business and everyone else’s. Thanks for continuing to inspire Beautiful Deb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Back atcha Beautiful Deb! Ghandi said to all of us – “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” and really, that’s all there is to a beautiful, compassionate and purposeful life.

  2. Such a great message! If people just took a second to take a second look, imagine how much suffering could be stopped! I have made it my mission to not turn a blind eye and I often find myself calling for help if I can’t do something myself – the police, the SPCA – if I can’t help, I can at least be the “connector”. Like you – I often pick up garbage too – cut up pack rings, cut those stupid plastic dome lids. GO DEB!!!!
